Senator Yakubu Oseni, chairman of the Senate Committee on Information and Communication Technology, announced that the National Assembly is preparing a bill to combat all forms of cybercrime across the country.
He announced this at a recent meeting with Abuja cybersecurity experts. He said federal lawmakers have chosen to work with ICT actors and relevant federal agencies to tackle cybercrime-related insecurity. Our youth are also sad and worried about their involvement in cybercrime, but the Senate is awake about this.
Bills are being put in place that will truly expand the fight against cybercrime, and we are working round the clock to see this come to play, he said.
