Ex-minister dumps PDP, joins APC

A former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Frankline Ogbuewu, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Ebonyi- born politician defected to the ruling party on Thursday at the APC town Hall meeting at Landmark Event Centre, Imo State.

Special Assistant on Media (Documentation) to Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwaze, made this known in a post on his social media page on Thursday.

He said : “Former Minister of Culture and Tourism and a PDP Chieftain in Ebonyi State, Chief Frankline Nchita Ogbuewu defects to APC.

” Chief Ogbuewu announced his defection at the APC town Hall meeting at Landmark Event Centre, Imo State on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

” This is good riddance to bad rubbish. I am wondering what has become of the Ebonyi PDP that they no longer have even the tiniest ability to play effective opposition. The party has lost every surviving grip holding their last breath in the state. Those still in the party are merely milking the other man.

“Truly, this is another confirmation of the statement of His Excellency Engr. David Umahi, CON that they are all on their way to APC. The defection has long begun, expect more defections like a tsunami to hit the PDP soonest.

” It’s in Ebonyi State that PDP died a natural death without any hope of revival.”

Newsmen reports that Ogbuewu served as Minister of Culture and Tourism in the second term of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
