A group, One North Forum (ONOF) has said that it foresees the return of Alhaji Dauda Lawal Dare – Zamfara All Progressives Congress, (APC) 2019 governorship candidate as the next governor of the State by 2023.
Chairman of the group, Nasiru Lawal Little made this known in a statement released and made available to journalists in Kaduna on Wednesday.
The Forum noted that it has the conviction that Alhaji Dauda Lawal, who is a philanthropist and former banker, has what it takes to rescue the State by 2023.
The group’s Chairman noted that there are still lingering questions about development in Zamfara State as disturbing indices of poverty and insecurity continue to worsen.
The group said “the only honest politician with a clear understanding of the challenges of Zamfara is still Dauda Lawal Dare.
The group argued that Dauda has the requisite leadership experience, knowledge of economics, and intellectual articulation to drive Zamfara State’s recovery process.
The Forum stated that “one year after the PDP grabbed power in Zamfara State all the disturbing indices of development are still there. This means that the people of the State have a duty to redraft Dauda Lawal back into the governorship race in 2023, to bring back the lost glory of the State”.
