Ganduje Loses Mother-in-Law, Burial Holds in Kano.

The family of the All-Progressives Congress National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Asiya Guayama

 

The matriarch of the Gauyama family and community leader died early hours of Monday, June 24, in Kano.

 

In a statement issued by the chief press secretary to the APC national chairman, Edwin Olofu, in Abuja, the late Gauyama was described as a revered matriarch whose life was marked by her unwavering commitment to family, community, and faith.

 

Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, announced her demise in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday.

 

The funeral prayer for the deceased was held today, by 2 pm, at the residence of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje located on Miyangu Road Kano state.

 

The statement reads: “It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy that we announce the passing of Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama, the beloved mother of Professor Hafsatu Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the wife of the National Chairman of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje CON.

“On behalf of the national chairman of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje CON, and the entire APC family, we extend our deepest sympathies to Professor Hafsatu Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and her family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this period of grief and loss.

“May Almighty Allah grant Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama eternal rest and provide comfort to her family and loved ones.”

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Sunday evening also lost his mother-in-law, Maryam Abubakar-Albishir in Kano on Sunday after a prolonged illness.

Maryam Abubakar-Albishir, who was the mother of the vice president’s wife, Mrs Nana Shettima, would be laid to rest on Monday afternoon in Kano, following Islamic injunction.
