President Muhammadu Buhari has joined hundreds of other well-wishers to felicitate with the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr. Ado Ibrahim CON as he marks his 92nd birthday anniversary.
In a felicitation message through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President applauded the Ohinoyi’s tireless commitment to the development of his domain, while urging him to continue to promote peace and unity not only in Ebiraland but also Kogi State and the entire country.
The President prayed for a longer life for the monarch so that his two decades reign will continue to yield enduring legacies.
In a separate message, the President of Khalif Cares Foundation, Distinguished Khalifa Abdulrahaman Okene has described the Ohinoyi as a rare monarch who is admired by all.
“He is, first of all, a father whose doors are always open to every Nigerian, and then a King committed to the peace and development of the Ebira kingdom. I pray that he continues to grow from strength to strength, and may his reign remain peaceful and glorious,” he said.
Governor Yahaya Bello in a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed, described the Ohinoyi as a gift of inestimable value to Nigeria.
He said: “On behalf of my family and the good people of Kogi, I am extremely delighted to extend warm felicitations to Your Majesty on this landmark occasion of attaining the age of 92 in good health.
“Your Majesty, your wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and fatherly counsels have greatly helped me steering the ship of state over the past five years of my administration.
“Unarguably, Ebiraland has witnessed unprecedented peace, unity, and development under your reign over the past 24 years that you ascended the throne of your forebears as the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.
“As you clock 92 years today, may the Almighty Allah grant you long life and more wisdom in good health to keep serving your people and even the nation at large. Please accept, Your Majesty, my sincere congratulations and happy birthday wishes.”
The Talba of Ebiraland, Alh Usman noted that the existence of the Ohinoyi has remained fruitful and beneficial to Ebiraland and humanity.
Part of his message reads: “You have remained true to yourself – kind, firm and focused, deploying unparalleled commitment, energy and doggedness in advancing the cause of your subjects in witnessing peace and prosperity.
“Your enviable and illustrious life and time are a clear testimony of Allāh’s continued support and strengthening of the pious and righteous.”
