The prominent Nigerian journalist, Sam Omatseye, has reacted to the decision of the former governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau, to join the PDP. Speaking on TVC News, Omatseye addressed Shekarau’s reasons for defecting to the PDP, such as integrity, dignity, and expression of freedom.
Addressing the topic, Omatseye said, “I do not know what integrity and citizenship mean here. He has his rights as a citizen, as he has many rights, such as the rights of expression and movement. He can move anywhere and he has the freedom of association. He has all these movements that he can exercise.
He continued, “It is interesting that the former governor is moving so quickly and also expressing himself so quickly within a short time. Shekarau has belonged to the APC, the NNPP, and now the PDP within six months. It reminds me of a free-floating bride that moves from one spouse to another with all her sense of dignity and integrity.
