Court Orders Sale Of Senator Ndume’s Property In Abuja To Raise 500Million Bail Bonds

Recall that Senator Ndume is standing as shorty for Mr. Maina over an alleged N2billion money laundering.

After securing bail, Mr. Maina has failed to appear in court for a subsequent hearing of the case since September 29, even though the anti-graft agency had produced 6 witnesses to testify on the trail.

Yesterday, Monday 23 the presiding Judge, Justice Okon Abang declined pleas by Senator Ndume for an adjournment and ordered that Senator Ndume be remanded in Kuje Prisons as he could not produce Mr. Maina. He had also ordered that his Abuja Property be sold to raise the N500million Bail bond.

Senator Ali Ndume who has spent his first night at Kuje has filed an appeal following the judgment.
