Ahead of the 2022 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council Elections, one APC support group under Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) pleads with people living in the Area Council to vote for a loyalist member of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC to support Hon. Ishaku Tanko Yamawo to achieve his dreams of being the Chairman of the Area Council.
Hon. Yamawo a committed member of the party has been contesting for the Chairmanship position three times always lost or became second during previous primaries election.
A leader of the Support group Alhaji Muazu A. labo said the group is calling on people in AMAC to vote for Yamawo Ishaku as the Council Chairman due to his experience.
He said Yamawo is a party member who has contributed significantly to the progress of the party more than anybody.
“We know who is Ishaku Yamawo, he has been contesting for three (3) times and he lost or he used to become second or third in the Primary Elections. Upon that he has never left the party to another.”
“He has continued paying figurative help to the party to win elections now he still come back.”
“Why we are here is to tell AMAC People that Hon. Yamawo Ishaku is a person, a grassroot politician, he has been to the party for a long time. Women and youths we need people to help him so that he can be the next AMAC Chairman.”
Muazu also called on all AMAC residents to join hands together and support the candidature of Yamawo.
It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set February 12, 2022, as the date for the conduct of elections into the six area councils of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
