The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday held an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at the Aso Rock presidential villa in Abuja.
Some NEC members are attending virtually while others are physically present at the Villa, even as the party had earlier explained that COVID-19 protocols will be upheld at the meeting hence the virtual nature of the meeting.
NewsOnline understands that the meeting is expected to review the party’s position and set an agenda for their next move.
President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo lead the list of party leaders at the meeting.
Also physically present at the meeting is the National Chairman of the party’s Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, as well as other members of the party’s NEC.
Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan; Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila are also in attendance physically.
