A 40 years old presidential aspirant on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Nicholas Felix has vowed if given the opportunity he will defeat the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 presidential election.
Felix while speaking to journalists after being screened by the presidential screening committee at Transcorp Hilton, in Abuja said, “I wrote a post today that I’m going to defeat Atiku hands down. I have said it and I’m going to say it again, when I emerge even the chairman of the PDP will vote for me.
“I’m the only youth in the party, I have a lot to bring. I’m not just saying I should be elected because I’m a youth. I have been campaigning on insecurity, it is my number one agenda, it is my number two agenda and it is my number three, agenda. And that is what Nigerians are yearning for, I believe I have a lot to bring to the table.
The aspirant while answering questions if he sign the withdrawal letter and if he was asked on the consensus candidate, he said, “I don’t have issues with consensus but I have to know who I am stepping down for. But I believe others should be stepping down for me. I’m the youngest aspirant in the party, I am bringing a lot to the table and Nigerians are yearning for youth. I don’t have any issues with that, we are here to work with the party.
“I didn’t sign any document. Why will I sign when the race has not started. Like I said, I wasn’t pressured to sign and whoever emerges we will rally round to ensure that the person wins.
