Alhaji Mohammed Idris, the distinguished Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, has once again demonstrated his unwavering support for APC support groups. This commitment was evident at the well-attended 2025 Dinner Party with APC Support Groups, held at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja, on 19th December 2025.

In his characteristic modest but impactful style, the Minister created an open and engaging environment for party loyalists to voice their frustrations, share suggestions, and express their aspirations. Remarkably, he not only listened attentively but also offered heartfelt apologies where necessary, an uncommon show of humility and responsive leadership.

The Honourable Minister reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that support groups remain an integral part of the party structure and promised to reach out to key stakeholders within the administration, urging them to give a listening ear to the grassroots mobilizers who played a vital role in the party’s electoral success.

Despite a demanding day that included an emergency Federal Executive Council meeting and accompanying the President to the National Assembly for the 2026 budget presentation, Alhaji Idris made time to attend the dinner. He stayed for hours, interacted warmly, and dined with support group leaders, an act that deeply resonated with attendees.

Earlier, the convener of the event, Hajiya Adenike Mutiat, who also doubles as the founder of the PROGRESSIVE LEADERS FORUM (PLF), a group of strategic party stakeholders whose aim and goal is to provide guidance to the president and engage with the president’s appointees and supporters, guaranteeing their inclusion, expressed her gratitude to the Honourable Minister for his continued support. She used the opportunity to appeal to political office holders and appointees to be more accessible, not necessarily to distribute material benefits, but to consider ideas and proposals from party loyalists as valuable contributions to governance. She emphasized that President Tinubu cannot reach everyone directly, hence the importance of support from other key political actors.

Also present was the Honourable Minister of State for Regional Development, Hon. Uba Maigari Ahmadu, who was commended for his solidarity. Other speakers, including Alh. Dr. Moshood Abiola, praised the Honourable Minister’s humility and encouraged Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s tireless efforts to reposition the country and pursue inclusive economic development.

The evening ended with a unified resolution by leaders of various APC support groups to close ranks and begin early mobilization towards the *reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027*, Insha Allah.
