Super Eagles midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, has made promises to Lazio’s new manager, Maurizio Sarri ahead of the new league season.

The Nigeria International said he is determined to improve his overall performance, which includes finding the back of the net.

The midfielder said this after playing in Lazio’s 1-0 loss to Turkish giants, Fenerbahçe on Wednesday.

Dele-Bashiru started the game but he was replaced at the start of the second half by veteran defender Matías Vecino.

The midfielder said the pre-season match was very important to the team, not minding whether they were defeated or not.

He expressed optimism that the appointment of Lazio boss, Sarri, would impact positively on the Serie A side.

“…For me…it’s important to be focused in training, listening to his tactics.

“If I carry on with these trainings, I will grow to be a strong player.

“For my objectives, just try to help the team as much as possible, if that’s with goals and assists, if I’m given a chance, I’ll try to prove myself.”
