Rochas Storm Transcorp Hilton Tuesday Night After Gaining Freedom From EFCC Custody

Former governor of Imo State who is also the lawmaker representing Imo West Senatorial District in the National Assembly on Tuesday night after meeting bail conditions stormed Transcorp Hilton for the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential screening.

Recall that the Economic Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, had on January 24, 2022 filed a 17-count criminal charge bordering on diversion of public funds and properties to the tune of N2.9billion against Okorocha,

But yesterday , a Federal High Court, Abuja, admitted Sen. Rochas Okorocha to bail in the sum of N500 million with one surety in like sum.

Okorocha while speaking to journalists after facing the APC screening panel thank Nigerians for their support and prayers.

He noted that after all that occurred he is very much focus on issue of the forthcoming primary election scheduled for June 6th and 7th.

“Its been seven days out of the whole system. But now I’m back, I want to focus back; primarily because of my love and passion for this nation. I believe that a new Nigeria is possible, and we can do it.

“Some of these things you see me going through are natural challenges associated with leadership. I see it as a comma and not a full stop in my life because after every comma, A sentence will follow.

“I came for my screening, it was quite successful and I’m the last to be screened at this late hours because I came straight from the EFCC headquarters. And I must thank Nigerians for the support given to me while I was passing through what I’m passing through.

Speaking on the issue of consensus, the presidential aspirant said Consensus is needed but all Aspirants must agree to one person.

“Consensus is that some of us must agree that is what is mean by consensus. There must be a platform where all of us can agree and to say listen, let’s look at what other party is doing and who can really match the other party and most importantly who can cut across this nation.

“Sectional leaders now cannot help APC, those who are champions of their tribe or religion cannot lead APC but those who are universally acceptable that can reach out to the north and south, a person that signify unity is well to go and that is what our party should look at without sentiment because already we have a challenge,” he said.
