In a statement issued by the state publicity secretary, Mallam Abdulmalik Suleiman on behalf of the state Chairman of the party Mr. Kingsley Temitope Ogga on Monday, the party described the move as a fitting one considering the role of the former military governor of the old Bendel and Akwa Ibom states in the ongoing coalition arrangement.
“We are elated and particularly glad that stakeholders of the ADC in the North Central have found our leader, Sen. Tunde Ogbeha worthy of leading the onslaught of the party in the North Central zone of the party.
“For us in Kogi State chapter of the ADC, the confidence reposed in the person of our leader, is a confirmation of the hard work in bringing the coalition initiative project to limelight in the light of daunting odds that were placed in the way of the movement by the government in power.
“We are also using this opportunity to assure North central stakeholders, that the party under Senator Ogbeha would lead the ADC to stability and comprehensive victory in 2027.”
