Osun 2022: My Performance Will Give Me Victory – Oyetola

Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has boasted that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cannot stop his re-election on July 16 because his administration has done well in delivering good governance to the people in the last three and a half years.

He urged the electorate to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to support him in the coming election, lamenting that indication from the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) showed that people were not collecting their PVCs.

Oyetola, represented by his Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, at the inauguration and launching of N5 million fundraising for the building of the secretariat of Osun State chapter of Blacksmith, Welders, Iron Benders & Metal Technician Association of Nigeria (BWIAN) in Osogbo, noted that despite the paucity of fund, he had fulfilled his campaign promises.

He said has allowed small scale businesses to thrive, adding that since its inception, his government had embarked on infrastructural development, providing soft loans for small businesses, ensuring security, as well as coming up with tax-friendly policies for business owners.

The governor added: “The report by INEC that the rate of collection of PVC by registered voters in the state is low is worrisome. PVC remains the power of the electorate to ensure continuity of administration.”

The Director General of Oyetola Campaign Organisation and Senate spokesman Ajibola Bashiru appealed to residents to support the re-election of Oyetola in the governorship election.
