
The North West Development Commission (NWDC), led by Chairman Hon. Lawal Samaila Yakawada, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Uba Sani at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna. The meeting focused on fostering regional development and inclusivity, with in-depth discussions on initiatives to drive progress in the North Western States.
The media team of Hon. Sule Shu’aibu, SAN, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, reported that the meeting with Governor Uba Sani focused on three key sectors: education, infrastructure and power generation. The discussions were productive, with both parties agreeing to collaborate towards achieving set objectives.
Governor Sani assured the team of his administration’s support for the North West Development Commission’s success.
Hon. Yakawada commended Governor Uba Sani’s leadership, highlighting significant strides in Kaduna’s development, citizens’ welfare, peaceful co-existence and inter-ethnic unity.
He ( Yakawada) pledged the NWDC’s continued support, reaffirming commitment to the state’s progress.
Governor Uba Sani thanked Hon. Yakawada and his NWDC team for their impactful visit, appreciating the issue-based discussions aimed at tackling pressing challenges such as youth unemployment, security and economic instability.
He ( Gov. Sani ) expressed confidence in Hon. Yakawada’s leadership, citing his extensive experience in public service and politics, and noted that under his guidance, the North Western States are poised for significant progress.
