Jigawa receives over N50 billion FG’s intervention fund

Apart from federal government allocation to Jigawa state government, governor Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru, confirmed that the state government under his administration has received over fifty billion nairas as various integration from president Muhammad Buhari’s administration.

The governor added that the Jigawa state government also received hundreds of both food items and fertilizer as another intervention from Buhari’s administration.

Governor Badaru dropped the hint while delivering his speech at the commissioning of the newly constructed 42.5km road from the Balagu area of Kiyawa to the Auno town of Kafin Hausa local government.
He explained that in the midst of economic crises Jigawa received ten billion nairas as bailout with an additional of over thirty billion nairas as Paris Club funds from president Muhammad Buhari’s administration.

The governor maintained that his administration also received another ten billion as refunds for Dutse International Airport, another four billion was received as (pay as you earn) “all from Baba Buhari” he said.
According to him, the federal government also released over three billion for some projects in Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa all this is part of “Baba Buhari’s effort to improve the lives of Jigawa citizens” said.
Governor Badaru said, the money was used in the completion of uncompleted projects inherited from past administration in the state, while some were used for many other new projects as part of an effort to improve the lives of Jigawa citizens.

He added that during the Covid-19 pandemic Buhari’s administration also donated 110 trillers of food items as relief from the pandemic and introduce many social intervention programs like Npower, trader moni, Cash transfer, school feeding among many other programs all for Jigawa people.

Governor Badaru then commended President Muhammad Buhari for his concern to Nigerians and Jigawa people in particular.

Meanwhile, the governor said, the amount of N5.3 billion was spent for the construction of Balagu to Auno road which was awarded to Gerawa construction company on 31 December 2018.
