The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Babagaba Zulum as the winner of the Borno State Governorship election held on Saturday, 18th March, 2023.
Governor Zulum polled a total of 545,543 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mohammed Ali Jajari of the PDP, who scored 82,147 votes.
The Borno State INEC Collation- Returning Officer, Professor Jude Tsammani Rabo, who is also the Vice Chancellor, Federal University, Wukari, Taraba State, on Monday announced the outcome of the gubernatorial election conducted in the 27 LGAs of the State.
Prof. Rabo said the APC got a total of 545,543 votes while the PDP polled a total of 82,147 votes. The NNPP- got zero votes while LP scored a total of 1,517 votes .
He said the total number of registered vote is 2,513,281, while the total Numbers of accredited voters is 650,533.
Total votes cast was 649855, total number of valid votes is 636,246, while the total number of invalid votes is 11,609.
