Former spokesperson of the All Progressive Congress in Lagos, Chief Joe Igbokwe is one person that speaks his mind on issues concerning Nigeria without bothering about what people will say about him. He is one of those that uses every opportunity to highlight the activities, programs, and achievements of the Lagos State Government and that of the Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari. Today he made a statement on his official Facebook page were made it clear that he is not an ethnic bigot neither is he a religious bigot.
The Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwolu of Lagos State on Drainage matters said that he is for the good of the commonwealth and that is all.
Joe Igbokwe may be right with his statement considering the fact that he has always been against the activities of IPOB in the Southeast where he comes from even though some people see him as someone that doesn’t care about the good of Ndigbo. Also, his support and love for Tinubu is another proof that he is not a religious bigot. Tinubu is a Muslim and is likely to run for President in 2023 though he has not told anyone of his ambition. But feelers from his political associates suggests so.
Also, Joe Igbokwe on some occasions on his Facebook page indirectly declared his support for Tinubu should he decide to run in 2023. Even though his people in the Southeast think that Igbos should be given a chance in 2023. From his statement, it suggests that Joe Igbokwe is someone that believes in one indivisible Nigeria and its progress. Just like his fellow countryman, Late Nnamdi Azikiwe who is also from Anambra State and was popularly known as Zik of Africa.
