If Wike Decides to Join APC, it will not Affect Amaechi in any way — Hannatu Musawa

Hannatu Musawa, the Deputy Spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, has said that in the event that Governor Wike decides to join the ruling party, managing him and his political rival Rotimi Amaechi, wouldn’t be an issue for the party.

Musawa described Amaechi as a valuable member of the APC who played a key role to ensure that the party came into power in 2015.

Because of this, she maintained that even if the Rivers State Governor comes on board, it would not in anyway affect the relevance and importance that Amaechi has in the party.

She said: “You may recall that these men used to work as a team, there’s nothing wrong with trying to recreate that again. I know that if Wike comes on board, hopefully, or if he adds value in another way even if he doesn’t come on board directly, it will be done in a way that is respectful to Amaechi and maintains his importance within our structure.”

Despite the high interest in Wike, he has stated in the past that he doesn’t plan on leaving the Peoples Democratic Party.
