The Nigeria Transportation Minister, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has responded to Wike’s statement on the ongoing rail projects across the country.
The Minister, while speaking on a program on African Independent Television (AIT), Kaakaki this morning, he just gave a silent-like response to the allegation by Governor Wike that the ongoing rail projects are politically motivated.
While responding to the allegation, he simply said because he was thoroughly brought up and he doesn’t get drunk before speaking, he doesn’t speak carelessly.
It could be recalled that Governor Nyesom Wike earlier criticized the Eastern Narrow-Gauge railway, Bonny deep seaport, and the Railway industrial park in Port Harcourt by the federal government.
Governor Wike made the criticism during the commissioning of the Rumuji-Obelle-Ibaa-Isiokpo road reconstructed by his administration.
Governor Wike however said that the Rumuji-Obelle-Ibaa-Isiokpo road is part of his electioneering promise to ensure an enabling environment for business activities in the area.
