Elder statesman, Tanko Yakasai, has declared that presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will garner majority votes in Kano State.
The North-Western state,which has the heaviest population in the country,also possesses the largest voter base in the land.
Yakasai made the endorsement while speaking in an interview with The Sun newspaper.
Asserting that he is not a fortune-teller, the northern leader, however, emphasized that the APC flag bearer will carry the day in Kano.
He said: “I am not a fortune-teller. I can assure you that Tinubu will get the majority of votes in Kano, but how many, I am not a fortune-teller.”
Revealing why he is backing Tinubu, the respected statesman said he is the first presidential candidate to visit and inform him of his 2023 presidential ambition.
