The Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan has nullified the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that was held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15, 2025. In its ruling, the court declared the convention invalid and consequently barred Turaki and other individuals who emerged from that convention from parading themselves as national officers of the party. The court further held that the Caretaker Committee led by Abdulrahman, alongside Senator Samuel Anyanwu, remains the only legally recognised National Working Committee of the PDP. According to the judgment, this Caretaker Committee will continue to function as the legitimate leadership of the party pending the conduct of a properly constituted and valid National Convention.
