“Former Ekiti deputy governor resigns from PDP, to join ADC Olusola-Eleka, who was the PDP governorship candidate in the 2018 election, disclosed this in a letter dated July 24, 2025, and addressed to his Okeruku Ward 2 Chairman in Ikere-Ekiti, Ikere Local Government Area of the state. A copy of the letter was made available to Nigerian Tribune on Thursday. The professor of Building Technology served as Deputy Governor between 2014 and 2018 under former Governor Ayodele Fayose’s administration. In his resignation letter, the former Deputy Governor, while appreciating the PDP for the opportunity to serve the state, lamented that the party has failed to provide a platform for credible opposition and leadership in the country.”
