The All Progressives Congress (APC)’s candidate for the Edo state governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has declared that nothing would make him lose the poll. Speaking on Politics Today, the Channels TV flagship program, Ize-Iyamu, said that his victory at the poll is not negotiable, adding that the people of the state would decide who to govern them on Saturday, September 19.
It was gathered that in a veil reference to the Governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki, Ize-Iyamu said the people of the state cannot be pulled by threat.
“I will not lose. I can tell you this is God’s time. You cannot pull people by threat. He has only one vote,” he said.

Ize-Iyamu also said that he doesn’t believe in abuse of power, saying President Muhammadu Buhari has many issues to attend to for him to start telling him about the security situation in Edo state. He said: “I don’t believe in abuse of power. The President has many issues to attend to for me to start telling him about the security situation in Edo state.”
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that ahead of the Edo and Ondo states governorship elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), expressed concern over comments made by politicians that could stir violence and diminish the poll.
