A stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Osita Okechukwu, has predicted victory for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,in the 25 February, 2023 poll.
Okechukwu,who is Director-General (DG), Voice of Nigeria (VON), said his confidence is based on the party’s control of structures on ground.
He revealed that he is working hard in his locality to ensure Tinubu wins so that he (Okechukwu) can be reappointed DG,VON.
Okechukwu spoke while fielding questions on Arise TV’s ‘Morning Show’ programme today.
His words:”Do not forget that we still control the greatest structure of 176,846 polling units.
“Some of us are working down at the ward level. Do you think I want to lose my little office as the DG of Voice of Nigeria? I am working day and night to get APC at my ward to scale, as also other appointees.”
Throwing more light on APC’s structures, he said “out of 469 members of the National Assembly, we have the majority. That is why I am telling them there is no need to overdrive. The election is for us to win – Asiwaju has nothing to fear; that is my position.”
The APC chieftain vowed that Tinubu will win, maintaining that “we have all the apparatus for winning an election any day, anytime.”
