The world trembles at the edge of its own unraveling. The Middle East burns. Nations flex their arsenals instead of their compassion. The air grows heavier with the smell of gunpowder, and the silence of diplomacy is being drowned by the thunder of war drums.
I see a storm gathering — not of clouds, but of catastrophe. I see the world, once full of promise, now teetering on the brink of avoidable destruction. I see anger boiling across continents, and pride calcifying the hearts of leaders who have forgotten the sacredness of life.
Let this be heard:
The Earth has existed for over 4.54 billion years.
The modern human species — Homo sapiens — has walked this Earth for about 300,000 years.
And according to the traditions of Islam and Abrahamic faiths, our noble forefather, Prophet Adam (peace be upon him), was created approximately 6,000 to 7,000 years ago.
He was fashioned not as a creature of destruction, but as a vicegerent, entrusted with mercy, reason, and stewardship over the Earth.
So how is it that, in the 21st century, the children of Adam — once honored above the angels — have become agents of chaos? Why would we seek to destroy a world that has existed long before our creation and will likely endure long after our extinction?
Make no mistake: God will never allow His Earth to perish at the hands of tyrants and egotists.
It is not the world that will end — it is man that may erase himself. The mountains will stand long after our skyscrapers fall. The oceans will roar long after our missiles go silent. It is we, not the Earth, who walk the plank of annihilation.
The Holy Qur’an warns:
“And do not walk upon the earth with arrogance. Indeed, you will never split the Earth, nor reach the mountains in height” (Qur’an 17:37).
And the Bible echoes:
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18).
World leaders, take heed. Arrogance is the antechamber of ruin. Empires before you believed themselves eternal — yet now their glory is buried in ruins, their wisdom forgotten in sand. Your power is not permanent. Your nations are not immortal. Humanity cannot afford the luxury of ego at the expense of existence.
Let there be peace — not the kind negotiated in sterile boardrooms, but peace planted in the fertile soil of justice and watered with empathy.
Let there be harmony — not of temporary treaties, but of understanding rooted in humility.
Let there be brotherhood — transcending borders, faiths, and tongues.
Let there be cooperation — not for profit, but for posterity.
The Earth is not your enemy. The poor are not your pawns. The vulnerable are not your stepping stones.
You hold the lives of generations in your hands — handle that trust with fear of God and a sense of eternity.
Let it be remembered: the Earth has outlived tyrants, pharaohs, dictators, and emperors.
If the children of Adam continue to walk the path of hubris and hatred, they will perish, but the world will go on — cold, silent, and unbothered.
Let reason triumph over rage.
Let mercy overcome might.
Let the inheritors of Adam remember who they are — not gods, but servants.
Not owners of time, but tenants of a fleeting moment.
The clock is ticking. The heavens are watching. The judgment of history — and perhaps of God — awaits.
