The nationwide movement to ensure that the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwajy Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is voted into office next year continues to move into higher gears.
In Lagos, today, the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign Organisation (BATCO Mandate) organized a solidarity walk for the presidential candidate.
In their signature white-and-orange branded cap and t-shirts, the group’s members began converging on the kick-off point on Bank Anthony Road, Ikeja, as early as 8.00 am.
Comprising party supporters from all the local governments in the state, they took off from Anthony, with the rally expected to terminate at Ojota.
A traffic snarl had built up around the Ikeja axis even as traffic management officials were spotted working to manage the situation.
Aside Tinubu, who is rated the top contender for the nation’s number one job, others in the race are Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
